Lately, my son has been listening to a lot of Hannah Montana. He's watching the show, too. He says it's because his sister likes it.
I think he has a little crush on her. She's 14; he's 10. She's the perfect older girl - and she's so cute and funny on screen.
He's in denial. "No, I don't!!!"
Actually, he's in denial about anything having to do with girls - TV and in real life. He got in trouble for chasing and trying to hug a few girls at school. He said it was because they wanted him to chase them, but I can't help but think he probably likes at least one of them since he broke out of his shyness to chase them.
Today on our way to an appointment, I asked him if any girls liked him. He mumbled he didn't know. (I've seen a couple of girls twirl their hair or smile big as they said hi to him, but he doesn't notice the nuances. To him, it's just embarrassing that they've noticed him. He's super shy and hates attention.)
Then I asked him if he likes any girls at school. "No, I don't!!!" was the first thing out of his mouth.
"No girlfriend?" I asked.
"I'm working on that."
