A branch of the drop-in daycare/play area of KidsPark has recently opened near me. It promises reservation-free, drop in play for your kids, with only a 1 hr. minimum. They are licensed, trained, staffed, require tons of forms and proof of immunizations, etc. You can use them as a "Parents Night Out" as they are open until 10 pm during the week and Midnight on weekends, or just for when you want to go get a haircut by yourself.
I think that kids have to be potty trained....but not sure???
Has anyone been there?
What do you think?
I believe the rates are reasonable?

We used it a couple weeks
We used it a couple weeks ago on a Tuesday evening. My 7 yo wasn't happy about it as she likes her regular sitter who was unavailable. It was ok. Safe and clean. The toys and games were more appropriate for the younger kids (3-5) but my daughter watched a video and played with the Wii. Dinner can be purchased and it costs about $8/hour. I bought a block of hours at their open house for a discount. I think they should have kids sanitize their hands before they enter and as they leave and made that suggestion. I plan to use it again for those 2-3 hour activities I need to do alone.
I have taken my son there
I have taken my son there twice as I had a medical appt. Each time was during the daytime and he had lunch. He is 3 years old (so maybe the toys are appropriate for his age as noted earlier.) He seemed to enjoy the area (he got to run and play around) and also had lunch (which he is so picky - so I was surprised with that.) The first time he played there they even did an art project. Kidspark is very reasonably priced and I had even received a 1 hour free coupon after my first visit. Then another one in the month of Feb where if I take a friend she gets free registration and I get 1 hour free. Just yesterday I received more coupons (10% off for the months of March, April, May.) These coupons make it very so nice. So, the next time I go to the doctor, as their office is right around the corner, I'll be sure to take him there. Oh also, my son was not potty trained (but in the process) on his first visit and that was not a problem. When I dropped him off the last time it looked like there was a 2 year old being dropped off who was in diapers & mom left the diaper bag. So, I dont think they have to be potty trained.

Where is this drop-in
Where is this drop-in daycare at? I don't think I have heard of it? I do love the free supervised play area at some Bashas stores. My kids love it and it was a good way to get my daughter use to me leaving her without really leaving her. Bashas has monitors all around the store to check on them if you want to. I go to the one on 75th ave and Thunderbird and it is clean and they have a wristband system for protection.
Where is it located? My dd
Where is it located? My dd also likes the Bashas play area but I have not heard about what your talking about.
On Cactus near Tatum.
On Cactus near Tatum. Across from the PV Mall.
I'm glad to hear the
I'm glad to hear the positive feedback.
Yes, it is in the PV Mall area....specifically on Cactus, just East of Tatum. Across the street from Red Lobster, around the corner from the Sprouts grocery store (near The Little Gym).
I've found out that it is $12/hr. for 2 kids
I believe they have a lot of Calif. locations, but this is the 1st in AZ.
