This a very fun and
This a very fun and practical idea for a birthday invitation. I just did something similar for my son's birthday party.
Go to a craft store like Michael's and find unfinished, precut shapes from ply-wood. Find a shape or a couple of shapes that fits your theme. (You can even get away with a small rectangle to paint up to look like a ticket!) Whatever shape(s) you decide on, paint it any way you like. (Remember, it doesn't have to look professional!)
On the back place a small piece of magnetic strip.
Over the magnetic stip, place a label on which has the information for the birthday party. The time, place, etc. (this will hide the magnetic strip, but it will still stick to the fridge.)
Once you are done, you will have a very unique invitation that the guests can put on their fridge. When they walk by and see it, it will help them remember the party, and they can look on the back for the details. When the party is over, they have a nice magnet to add to their collection! The best part is that the cost is less than $1 ea to make!!
If you have any furthur questions about how to make these cards, or need any more ideas, please email me at tailoredcards@gmail.com
Hope this helps gets the creative juices flowing!
