I love to scrapbook! I have been scrapbooking since before there were scrapbook stores, and I especially enjoy scrapping my childrens' albums now. I also enjoy card-making and handmade all my baby announcements. A friend of mine said that she knows several moms that would love to pay to have someone do their scrapbook for them. Lots of moms want a beautiful scrapbook for their child, but for some, crafts may not be their "thing". Would you pay to have someone make an album for you? Also, I asked at a local store what they charge for something like that. They said the going rate is about $10 - $ 15 per page depending on how elaborate you want it. (By the way, you can still have a gorgeous album even if you don't go crazy on embellishments.) What do you think? Would you pay to have someone do your scrapbook?

I wouldn't pay, but only b/c
I wouldn't pay, but only b/c I see any scrapbook as a very personal reflection of your experiences and memories. So I don't know how someone else could capture the mood, spirit or emotion behind the memories I have associated with particular pictures.
Then again, if your pictures are going to otherwise be stacked into a shoe box....having someone else scrapbook it for you would be more presentable!!
Wow - sounds very expensive though @$10-15/page, but I'm not surprised that is the going rate.
I find the scrapbook supplies to decorate each page to be so very expensive!!
I would pay someone to make me a set of homemade notecards however.....(perhaps b/c I'm hoping that would not be more than what I pay for stationary).

I also love to scrapbook but
I also love to scrapbook but I can honestly say that I have no creativity at all. So, with that being said, I have bought scrapbooks that were made and I adore them! I paid $50 for a small scrapbook that had the twelve months. If someone is thinking about doing this I think it would be a hit! Imagine all the holidays, the kids' sports, etc. that they could make albums for.
I'm w/ hobbymommy! I LOVE
I'm w/ hobbymommy! I LOVE TO SCRAPBOOK because I want my kids to be able to look back at their little lives through pictures. I have a 2 yr old and a 6 month old. Believe me if it's important to you, you will make the time. Scrapbooking is mommy time and I absolutely love it!!!
I have also been encouraged to make scrapbooks for others but usually get negative feedback about how personal album making is.
I love to use Creative Memories because they keep it simple and everything is color coordinated. I am also a consultant. I can't shop for scrap stuff at Micheal's because it's so overwhelming!
I encourage everyone of you even those who say they have no time MAKE THE TIME to put an album together AT LEAST ONCE. =D
I'd like to scrapbook...but
I'd like to scrapbook...but haven't found time to do it...I have the supplies, too.
As for paying. I don't think I'd pay. I think a scrapbook should show your own style and taste...no one can really replicate that - well, maybe if you spent tons of time telling them exactly what you want...in that case, you might as well do it yourself.
Then what happens if they mess up a picture - crop too tight, get glue, glitter on it, etc - that you just love...sometimes we don't have copies. That would be devastating. I just need time...maybe I'll do a scrapbook vacation. Ha!
I also love to scrapebook
I also love to scrapebook and have made many personal scrapebooks for friends and relatives as gifts for special occassions. The very first scrapebooks I ever made were for a co-worker/friend at her reguests. She brought in all the pictures she could locate of her three children. I created and gave to her a form which requested their likes regarding food, colors, holidays, special events, sports, friends, their age, birthdate, place of birth and anything else I could think of that I might want to implement into the book. After receiving all I needed I went to work creating the books which out-lined moments through out their lives. She presented each child with the scrapebook as a Christmas present and they loved them. Of course these were done for a price. I might also mention that as far as using photos that might be ruined, I found it's best to make copies of those photos, you could also then enlarge or make smaller for whatever setting you want. Then return the original photos to the owner.
