Hi I have a bridal shower to throw and I have never done this before and was wondering what I need to make it a sucess. She wanted a Lingerie theme party, as the gifts not what people have to wear. :-), it will be at 12:00 on a Sunday. I will have a cake, goodie bags, and food.
Any other ideas of what I should have?

Play some games and have small gifts for the winners of these games.
Do a search on google (or whatever search engine you use) and so many ideas will come up.
One thing i have learned (yes, the hard way) is to have a few extra gifts just in case there is more than one winner.

For a lingerie party, I think it is fun to get a few really nice things, that you'd NEVER buy for your self, just because you wouldn't spend that much. Instead of everyone bringing a regular one and then end up with 10 ordinary ones, have people go in together and get 1 or 2 amazing ones with all the bells and whistles...
Just a thought coming from an old married lady...
You know the old game where you write down what she says when she opens gifts, and read those back saying that is what she will say on her wedding night. "Oh, I was hoping I'd get one of these..." etc.
Depending on the crowd, it is nice to get advice from others who have been married. I've been to parties where the advice is written in a little memory book that the bride can keep.

Have everyone bring a nightgown that they wear. Put them all together and guess what nightgown belongs to what person. I played this at a party once. Kind of funny.

I have been to showers that
I have been to showers that are for lingerie, but also pampering things for the bride. It was just worded, "Please come to a personal shower for _____". Then, instead of 20 nighties, she might get some bath products, pedicure stuff, etc. However, I'm not sure that everyone knows what "personal shower" means! She might get a toaster too!

Also fun and interesting for the bride is to pass around a sheet of paper asking for "Advice on marriage for the bride to be". It is interesting to see what many say. Also, once she is married maybe she can use some of that advice??? It's mostly for fun...but who knows maybe it is useful. Have fun!
