Hey all. We just got a graduation announcement for our neighbor. We've haven't done a graduation for anyone but family, and we don't know what is appropriate to give. Any suggestions?

I think it depends on a few things. First, is it high school or college? How well do you know the graduate? And are they male or female? For close family we might buy a nice piece of jewelry for girls if we know their style. Cash is always welcome, too, and gift cards are never out of style these days! Especially if you don't know them well. As far as how much to spend, I don't have a clue, but we usually spend about $50 for high school grads.

I typically send $50 to
I typically send $50 to graduates, figuring they'll need the cash for college or setting off on their own. If it's a family member, I still give $50 but also a gift like a photo album or something else to preserve their high school memories.
