Any ideas are welcome - my son is turing 4 in two weeks. He is not a kid into chocolate or many sweets to speak of. Each year we have done the cake thing but he never really takes part in it beside blowing the candles out and admiring my hard work. Ice cream is even a challenge. Anyone have an idea of something different that I make instead of a cake....I have seen things with rice krispies (which oddly enough he does like but without chocolate). Any help would be appreciated since this is his special day.... :)

I think your Rice Krispies
I think your Rice Krispies idea would be great! Or, if there's any other treat your son really likes, go with whatever is his favorite. You could do cute cookies, some bakeries will do whatever shape you want to go with your theme.

We have a friend who once suggested that he'd like a corn bread cake for his wedding. Unfortunately, he hasn't had any takers on the marriage or the corn bread cake.
But his reasoning was "it is good for you, and everyone likes it."
Just throwing it out there. You could also decorate it with colored butter???!?!?
Or maybe muffins? or little loaves of cinnimon raisin bread?
