For presents when attending a birthday party for twins? I know there has been a discussion of this nature before on here, but I can't recall. My daughter is going to a birthday party this weekend and we went shopping tonight for the 2 girls. We got them each a Hannah Montana tee shirt and each a Barbie doll, one a Hannah Montana and the other one a High School Musical one. I spent about $20 on each of them. Do you think that's fine? I know I usually spend between $20 - $30 when I bring my daughter to a single child's Birthday.
Thanks!!

I think that is generous. I
I think that is generous. I generally buy a gift for each as well or I buy one bigger gift to share and 2 really small gifts, like coloring books to make sure they each have something just for themselves.
I think $20 is more than
I think $20 is more than enough - for a kid that age i generally spend $10 to $15.

I agree. Sounds great to
I agree. Sounds great to me! We went to a twin party this year too, and I spent in the $10 to $15 range on each of them. I got some things on sale, they were actually around $20 gifts for each child. I spend around the same amount for other birthday kids, so it does cost twice as much for a twin party. But they can't help it that they share a birthday! :-)

Me too. I think that's plenty. I usually do separate presents or sometimes I'll get them a game they can share and each a small little thing to go along with it.

I agree, I think you spent plenty the girls will love their gifts. I usually spend no more than $15 per child that age. Hope your daughter has fun :)

I would have done like
I would have done like you....I ALWAYS spend double for a twin party - heck, you are the guest of 2 kids!
That said, I typically also spend about $25 each. (more if they are good family friends).
I have found these amounts to also be typical of what my kids receive from their classmates on their birthdays....so for me, I'm "in the ballpark" with the average amount - with my friends.
Have fun!!

We generall spent around $20-25 dollars. And, how nice of you to take the time to get them fun, girly gifts!
I have found our Fry's Marketplace to be an awesome last minute store for toys. They constantly have items on "Fry Buy." And, sometimes, they are on sale for several dollars off.

Funny that you posted this,
Funny that you posted this, my youngest is going to a birthday party for twins. The problem I have is they are a boy and girl and my daughter was invited by the boy. We don't know the girl, she is in a different class. I found out her name just yesterday.
We are going to get his present today and will get something for the sister too. Just something simple. I am thinking like a book.
I think you did great with your shopping. I know we have friends with twins who are the same sex and we try to get them equal but different things. One likes bugs, one likes animals. They both like crafts.
Enjoy the party!

I usually spend $20 per child so I think the presents you bought will be great! I'm lazy so in the past when my son was invited to a b-day party we would go to the store and buy a card and put a $20 bill in it. Lame, I know. I think it's great that you spent the time to go and buy them presents that they can open. I'm sure they'll love them. You did good!
