Hello all! I am a first time mom who is looking for some ideas on how to meet other moms! I work full time so all play groups are geared for stay at home moms. Anyone have any ideas?
THANKS!
Cheers

Welcome! and I know what you mean...as a working mom, it seems all the mommy groups meet at 10 a.m. freeing up all these mommies for PTA meetings at 1 or 2. But that's another discussion.

I'm finding most of my friends are parents of my kids' friends and we arrange coffees or playdates on weekends, mostly. I recently met a nice mom via a sports team my kid was on and another through a dance class. Luckily we all lived pretty close and the kids really liked each other.

But I know some moms are joining wine clubs for adult conversation, doing bunko or forming book clubs. I love all those ideas, particularly the wine club and book club - I need to read more fiction that isn't considered a chapter book.

I would check

I would check www.meetup.com. Alot of the groups have day time activities, but maybe you can do a more specific search!

Hi, do you ever go to the park or a play area after work? I work all day too, so I find that when we go to the part early in the evening, alot of the same people are there. That is a good start.

My daughter is only three and half months old so she is a little young to play yet. But when she gets older I will try that out.
Thanks!
