Anyone have advice on how to help him adjust to a 3 hour time difference?

Having recently travel to

Having recently travel to Hawaii from Arizona with two small children, my advice is go with the flow as far as their attitudes and behaviors throughout the day. The first day was rough but it's amazing what the sunlight does to automatically adjust a child's clock. By day 2 - they were up to speed with Hawaii's time. (And a good solid nap each day helped!) Trying to stick to their time could definately help! With our sun not setting til the later evening hours- that might be hard, but you can try darkening the room he is sleeping in to help with the 'night time' atmosphere. Good luck and have a fantastic visit!

We just had friends in from Tennessee. They arrived early afternoon and we just had a quiet evening planned at home. The next day they were the first ones up so make sure they know where the coffee and breakfast stuff is kept.... After that everyone seemed on schedule and we did so much during the day we were all exhausted by bedtime.

I don't think I'd try to

I don't think I'd try to change his regular schedule - I'd just plan activities around his nap :)

It's best to keep the children on their usual time clock and not have them adjust once on this end and again upon return. We have found everyone is much happier when we do not try to reset any body clocks.
