Sedona

For those of you who haven't visited Sedona lately, it has grown! We recently visited with friends from out of town and couldn't believe how much it has changed. The shops and restaurants are still great! Shopping has always been unique and restaurants have that "western" flair. One of the biggest changes that we noticed were the diverse hotels to choose from. The hotels range from economy to luxury, which makes it nice for everyone. Don't forget to try the fun jeep tours, especially on a nice day! Get out there and explore Arizona, we did! www.Sedona-Hotels.us

I always loved shopping at

I always loved shopping at Tlaquepaque. There were so many neat shops there. Also Sliderock was so much fun! Did they close that area down to the public?

I don't think they have

I don't think they have closed Sliderock down to the public, at least on a permanent basis. I do know that at some times of the year when the bacteria levels get high they do close it down for short periods of time, but I don't think they have done so permanently.
We actually visited Sedona when we were first planning on moving to AZ a little over 2 years ago and the kids loved venturing down Sliderock, although it was quite chilly at the time of year we went up there. Hopefully we will get back there soon.

My Mom is in town visiting

My Mom is in town visiting from NE. She had never been to Sedona before, the red rocks forced a double take from her. They're beyond beautiful and, in the thinking of some, powerful. Do they actually promote peace, harmony, and a high, healing energy? The notion that they do has spread around the world and made Sedona into a mecca for seekers of every stripe. We headed north to Slide Rock state park. A natural water slide in Oak Creek seven miles from town on State 89A. What a good a safe place to let the children work off energy.
