One wine maker is trying to make a name for AZ wines. Click here for the story. But do you find yourself snubbing the home state wines for bottles from Napa, Spain, France, etc. Or do you buy Arizona wines with pride?

While I am inclined to
While I am inclined to gravitate toward Spanish wines, I am also a believer that it is the quality of the grapes and the land from which they flourish that makes a good wine. The foundation must be pure in order to have a good tasting end-product. Since this producer promotes the same philosophy, I would be willing to try this new label.
As for whether the grower is domestic vs foreign or even local...the very best thing we can do to help boost our economy is to reinvest within our own State. I am very supportive of internal economic growth within our community.
Cheers!

We love to try new wines at
We love to try new wines at our house because we make a lot of pizza. We are not sophisticated wine drinkers, but we do have our favorites. I would definitely try an Arizona winery. We have had some good $12 and less bottles from Prescott and Camp Verde area wineries. It's not much different than trying a microbrewery beer -- it's an opportunity to dive into local culture!

The only Arizona wine I've
The only Arizona wine I've tried is Kokopelli's Sweet Lucy. I remember the owner saying it's a favorite when I was at the restaurant. Since it was a working lunch, I didn't try it. But then I saw it at Sam's Club or Costco and bought a bottle. I so hated it because it was too sweet. Luckily my mother in law was in town and drank it up. She loved that it wasn't so dry.
So given that experience, would I try another Arizona wine. Sure. I just would make sure I had someone to share the bottle or go to a wine bar where I could get it by the glass.

Kokopelli's is a favorite of ours. I admit I haven't tried other Arizona wines, but theirs. One that was very interesting was a Margarita wine.
