Ok, I have recently kicked my caffeine habit...........well, for the most part.
I used to drink tons of diet pepsi.....I practically had an IV in my arm full of DP...........and I have IBS, so caffiene/carbonated drinks are supposed to be a no-no......so after being admonished by my Dr for many years I finally took a stab at it about two months ago.
I have gone weeks at a time drinking nothing but water.....at the time I was taking Slimquick so I think the stimulant made the transition a little easier. I don't buy diet soda to have at home anymore.....there have been a few times that I have had a glass or two at restaurants or a cup of coffee, but for the most part I am nowhere near the level of consumption I was before.
I have also cut way back on alcohol - of course, I didn't run around drinking all day long, but for a while there I noticed I was drinking a lot after my son went to bed so I could unwind and quite my mind, and now I am down to one or two nights a week.
The problem is - I have been getting MASSIVE headache every other day or so for the past month. I expected this up front when I dropped the soda, but I did not expect this to persist for this long.
I had to take the morning off one day last week because of it, the headaches feel like someone is squeezing my head in a vise. Has anyone else had a similar issue when getting the caffiene monkey off their back?

you didn't say that you had
you didn't say that you had the headaches when you initially gave up the caffeine. But I would think caffeine withdrawl would have started to subside by now.
You mention that it's a squeezing feeling. Where in your head? Is it in your face? If so, it could be a sinus infection (are you otherwise stuffy?). If it's more in your head, maybe migraines. You should go to the doctor just to check it out. Headaches suck.
My Dr. recommended I cut out
My Dr. recommended I cut out caffeine and wine to stop my migraine headaches, so it does seem strange you are getting headaches after cutting those things out.
When you've had the cup of coffee or soda of late, do you not get headaches?? I guess that is a way to test if that is the problem/solution or if maybe it is allergies or sinus issues instead? Headaches do suck! Hope you figure this one out soon!

Ever think of going half
Ever think of going half decaf and half regular...or watered down regular till your body adjusts? I've noticed during drug addiction treatment that once I get past the first week or so...I wake up with renewed energy without it. Do you workout Allison? That really helps me too!...
I would probably check in
I would probably check in with my doctor -- especially since you've had the headaches regularly for a month. It might be totally unrelated to your recent drop in caffeine. There's a helpful organization called the National Headache Foundation, at www.headaches.org, and I think they refer people to doctors who specialize in headaches. I read about a doctor in Tempe, actually, who specializes in headaches and migraines. If you're interested, I might be able to find her info somewhere....

Get a multi vitamin that has
Get a multi vitamin that has excess of vitamin B's all b1, b2, b6, b12 the vitamin i'm taking has 100mg of each or more not to much there is another I take which is only Vitamin C at 1000mg but go to your local health food store or vitamin/gnc place and see what they have thats multi with a lot of B's in it, you'll get natural energy and nothing like caffeine at all. I think it'll help get you used to not being on caffeine. Also try to exercise a few times a week doesn't matter for how long 15 minute brisk walking is even better than none it'll get your energy up. I don't think i could personally ever stop drinking coffee in the mornings but thats me and were all different i hardly ever drink sodas that much here and there i do, id probably need major addiction treatment for me to stop drinking coffee on a regular basis. But anyway if you do get a daily multi vitamin make sure it has no caffeine in it, all you want are your essentials and thats it, plus exercise and go from there i'm sure you'll feel much better.
