New found TV show

My husband and I recently just found this new television show on A&E, called Intervention. As many of the children on this show are in their late teens (or older), it absolutely sickens my husband and I, if our children fall into a deep dark circle of drugs and alcohol.
The show is based on individuals that agree to do a documentary about their addiction, not realizing that their family/friends have called in professionals to help with an intervention.
I find myself completely drawn to this show and very intrigued about how some people can get so wrapped up in these particular drugs, willingly doing these drugs in front of a camera, and what a dark life they are living in. Even as it keeps me so amazed (I think because I never got into the drugs growing up or there after) it frightens me that this could someday be my child.
As our children grow up and we teach them drugs and alcohol are bad, how can enough love, support and knowledge teach them this is a path they do not want to go down? Even when they believe it is just experimenting

Intervention is on A&E on Friday nights at 9 & 10pm

That sounds neat. I think

That sounds neat. I think it's a great opportunity to expose children to it in the right light. My daughter and I watch the Nanny 911 show and it's a great way to show her what things can feel like from a parent's perspective. And it's always funny to see her reaction to the extremly terrible behaviour that kids will display on that show!

thanks for sharing.
