Two other Moms have similar posts going on, so know you are not alone. Everyone seems to be in agreement that it is very, very normal, and the child should understand that touching is OK, but it needs to be in private. I have a book that supports that, and I think it is the advice our pediatrician gave me the first time we went through it a few years ago. My 6 year old will still grab himself on the outside of his pants and needs to be reminded that upsets people. I am not sure he is even aware he is doing it sometimes.
Just be prepared, it is a love affair men of all ages seem to have, but at this age it is very innocent and not adult in nature at all.
