I have always loved giving gifts from the Pottery Painting and More on Power/Mckellips.
They have so much to choose from, and the child paints the item using his own choices of colors. I always love to have my 18 mth place his handprint on the item. Like last year, we gave a football mug painted with my husbands favorite team colors and with a handprint from our son. It is such a great gift with a special touch from the children. They have large serving plates for cookouts, tissue box holders, mugs, frames, etc. The children love painting and they create their own gift straight from the heart.

You might also want to try a gfit that is an 'activity' together --- such as getting him tickets for a sporting event you could all attend, or a ride in a hot air balloon, or a picnic that features all his favorite foods. Wrap up a nice frame that he can open on Father's Day, and tell him that you'll have someone take a picture of all of you enjoying the activity so he can remember this 'first" Father's Day forever.

I am thinking of giving my husband something that he will enjoy for himself since he is always helping out with the new baby. We do so much as a family that I think he deserves something for him alone... golf :)
For anyone looking for coupons (I personally love coupons)... I received a postcard from a Web site www.giftcardgolf.com for 5% off any gift card (it says to use the coupon code "golfdad" when checking out).
Cheers,

Or....maybe tickets to go
Or....maybe tickets to go somewhere WITHOUT any of the family!! That might be fun.

My husband is a big Jimmy
My husband is a big Jimmy Buffett fan and has a song that reminds him of each of our kids (Jolly Mon, our son and Little Miss Magic, our daughter), so.... I matted and framed a verse with hand/foot prints (everything black and white). He was extremely happy and hung them in his office at work.
I plan on getting my husband
I plan on getting my husband an engraved dog tag with my kids' pictures engraved on it and (#1 Dad). I think the first should be very special and personalized. Perhaps something the child can make, using paints and put footprints with a nice message or handprints and perhaps a picture too. Good luck!
There is no way to be a perfect mother, but a million ways to be a good one!

GlendaleMom - Is the dog tag something they do at Things Remembered? That sounds so meaningful and unique!

Anything with your childs
Anything with your childs photo on it or hand print in it. Michaels stores has kids to make a cement stone with a hand print and stone in it. That is something you can move with you where ever you live. It's hard to imagine they were once that small!

I did a coffee travel mug
I did a coffee travel mug that you can put pictures in and a poem. There was a poem promoting fishing for a while that said take me fishing soon because before you know it I will be getting married. I put first time fishing pics and other sporting events that my daughter and husband attended.
