Just last weekend my daughter was doing cheers for the family dressed in her cheerleading dress (pleated skirt and tank top). I went to a BBQ where some Cardinal cheerleaders were signing posters of themselves. I got one autographed for my daughter. Now when she cheerleaders she wears her pleated skirt with her bathing suit bikini top to be more like the skimpy suits the "'real" cheerleaders wear. It is so sad. I also hope she doesn't notice that EVERY bosom in the photo looks to be AT LEAST a C cup, and all are able to be viewed. There are none that look "average."
I wish I hadn't given her one, but I have, now what???

How old is your daughter? I would just have the talk with her about what's appropriate for her age. We've had to have this talk many times with my 5 year old. They see what they see, and unless we help them interpret it, kids will just assume that it is okay!

I would let her know those cheerleaders are adults, not young children.I have a cousin who is a cheerleader in high school and their uniforms aren't bad at all. So maybe you can show her some pictures of high school cheerleaders and she will see for herself not every cheer team dresses like that and not all have big boobs.
Have a modesty talk with
Have a modesty talk with your daughter. I know that as a mom I wear clothes that cover everything when I am around my children, even when I am cleaning or working out, even if it is just a short sleeve shirt and capris. I know they see me and that is what they are going to view as normal. I am sure she will lead by example (obviously). I would just talk to her about it, it couldn't hurt anything.
This is funny because when my son was almost 3 and my youngest was very young still, my mother-in-law was in town and she loves going to eat sushi (not a big fan myself). So we went out to this sushi place in Scottsdale on a Friday and there was this woman in a dress that had no back. So, I walked outside with my 3 year old and he sees the woman and says"mommy that lady is naked."

my daughter was pretty
my daughter was pretty disgusted by the Cardinal Cheerleaders when we saw them at the opening of the stadium, and she even noticed how the men were standing around gaucking(spl?) at them and she knew that it was at their boobs. No one can say that they don't want to be looked at, when you dress like that, whether for work or uniform, you get exactly that. My daughter didn't want to get their autograph and I was very pleased.
