The best way to go is through the agencies mentioned at the top. \r\nGood luck with your future stars :)'

Be careful!
The ONLY way an acting or modeling agency should be making money is by getting their clients work - not by selling classes or expensive photo "portfolios" done by their own photographers!!! Many new actors (of all ages) need some training, and it's good to look into independent teachers or schools (not connected to these "agencies"). Children change and grow so quickly that unless they are doing a lot of commercial or modeling work, regular pictures will usually suffice.
Your child's personality plays a big factor here, as well. Do they like meeting lots of new people without feeling shy? Would they be comfortable having to "perform" on cue? Are you both able to stand rejection, competitive stage parents, and cold sounding comments?
Are you willing and able to miss work, school and other commitments to travel to auditions and shoots where you may wait for hours?
As someone who works and teaches children in this business, I've talked with many parents of very cute, smart children. Often, the child seems to have no interest in performing anywhere other than at home with friends and family, but the parents push and push.
If it's your child's big dream, then go for it as a business choice. If you may be pushing them to fulfill something within yourself then please think twice - it can be a rough business. If they want to have some fun onstage, sign them up for classes at a theatre company. If it's you who wants the attention, then sign yourself up for an acting class, and have fun!

This is very good advice in the last post. I took my child to one casting call in Scottsdale and it was my last. By the time it was our turn to be interviewed my child was ready to go home. Then they said before we could go on we needed professional pictures. If they want my kid so much they can pay for the pictures.
