My 5yr old son plays golf
My 5yr old son plays golf through the First Tee, and is also involved in sports through our local rec programs (this season he is in tennis, because, he says as he shrugs his shoulders..."I've never tried it before"). I love his upbeat confident attitude about trying new things! Also, we are part of a homeschool group which includes lots of book clubs, discussions, and park days, etc. Lastly, he is involved in our church's weekly Bible Study program that meets once a week.
All of these activites are awesome and have not had any problems. I appreciate the fact that all of them (except perhaps for the homeschool group) includes children from a variety of education backgrounds (public, private, and of course homeschool), thus creating an atmosphere of togetherness and not separation, you know? My husband is a local public school principal and though we are supporters of the teachers/administrators of the public schools, we choose to homeschool our own....
