Baby "stuff" you can't live without

braybee's picture

Just wondering what some of you mom's just can't live without. I'm always looking for new products, toys or equipment to make life easier.

I have to say, one of my favs is so very simple...DROP INS!!! I used the Dr. Browns and the VentAire, but to wash the parts is soooo annoying! My all time greatest time saver is using drop ins! There is nothing I hate more than washing bottles (and I don't know why I have a problem putting them in the dishwasher, but I do! ). Gotta love the drop ins!

I think the best investment

I think the best investment I made was an exer-saucer/ bouncer thing. My daughter is losing interest in it a little bit now because she is crawling and starting to walk, but from about 4 to 8 months, that got used a lot. It still does get used for short periods of time when I need her confined while I get something done in a room that has too much stuff she could get into. I got it at a Goodwill store for $5. I often joke that is the best $5 I have ever spent.

Also could not have survived without a breast pump. Milk production was greater than her appetitie.

I loved my exersaucer, too.

Oh my gosh, I have a lot of

Oh my gosh, I have a lot of little favorites. I praise my baby swing. I got the traveling baby swing on e-bay for $10, and I will tell you it was the only thing that my boys would do beside me holding them. I love the drop ins too, but I had to go back to my VentAire bottles though because my son would get too gasy with the drop ins. And another of my favorits....I got a Chariot Cheetah2. I love this. I got the jogging and the biking attachments and my kids love it. They can sit in it comfortably and I can bike or walk wherever and they think it is the funnest thing. I can take it anywhere becasue it has a lot of storage space to put things.

Our most

Our most can't-live-without-it baby item was our baby jogger. When our oldest son was born almost twelve years ago baby joggers were pretty new. Our friends went in together and bought us one. It was the best gift! It allowed me the freedom to run whenever I wanted to and I was able to work off those pregnancy pounds fast with the additional workout of pushing my son. It also allowed my husband & I to run together. When I finally got rid of my baby jogger this year, very battered after carrying three kids, it was with a touch of sadness.
