No water waste/chemicals into soil from cloth diaper washing.
Are they leak-proof? I don't know.
However, I do suspect this is the "wave of the future" and all of OUR KIDS will be purchased biodegradable diapers from Pampers, Huggies and whoever else is in the market in 20-30 years....

I use cloth diapers but have
I use cloth diapers but have these as backup in case my babysitter needs them. They actually only take 40 days to breakdown vs the 100 years posted in an above comment. They are made out of biodegradable. They are made out of corn vs plastic that most diapers are made out of. I havent had any problem with them at all, no leaks, rashes etc. .... I find them to be a great product!
