Which is worse?? Terrible two or Terrible Three???
Few of my friends are forewarning me about terrible three's temper tantrums...My oldest daughter, Kelly, - almost 3 - is now going through a temper tantrums stage. Most of her 2 year old days were not bad - only a couple temper tantrums but mostly being spoiled...until lately - I would say the last week, OMG, she just starts throwing bloody murder temper tantrums (why does it have to be at the grocery store??!!)...Saturday night - a quick trip to Safeway...as soon as we were done with the checkout, she started screaming all the way to the SUV. Not only that, a newsreporter from Channel 10 just walked by us to the store and then back to her red BMW and my daughter is still screaming...Took about 20 mins for her to calm down and then go home....I did check on Channel 10 - 10 o'clock news just to make sure we didn't make the breaking news!!!! Then yesterday morning - I wanted to check out the Ranch Market on 16th St and Roosevelt (that store is UNBELIEVEABLE - produces of all kinds took up HALF of that store! Beats AJ's!) so I brought my daughters along and again, Kelly screamed that her junglars were literally bulging out. She was mad because I wouldn't let her down and either push the cart or run off yanking fruits off the piles. Jeez, that place was packed and I didn't want to take the chance having to knock down people like if they were bowling pins with my shopping cart, chasing after her~!
She is really shocking me big time. I try not to worry but I don't even remember myself screaming bloody murder at her age, ya know....

Forget the terrible twos. I
Forget the terrible twos. I think the threes are the hardst - at least they were for my son. No major tantrums but everything was just harder. Thankfully, it passed and four is absolutely golden - more indendent, potty trained, in preschool, etc. Hang in there.

Terrible threes..by far!!!!
Terrible threes..by far!!!! At two, kids can be redirected rather easily, but at three, they're getting smarter and mouthier. They start talking back to you! That's always a shocker when that happens. Telling yourself, "This too shall pass!" over and over again helps. Good luck to you!
LOL LOL ok will definitely
LOL LOL ok will definitely keep all that in mind :)
Thanks!

My boy turned 3. So far, so good. If he's having a tantrum; We just keep quite and wait for him to calm down. It works; Later on, he'll be asking sorry to us.
Have a beautiful day!

I think the name should be
I think the name should be changed from the Terrible Twos or Terrible Threes to the Terrible Tots. My son is almost 2 and if he doesn't get what he wants right when he wants it he throws a fit. I think because every child develops at a different rate that soem will see terrible twos and some will see terrible threes. What are your thoughts on this?
I agree with you! I have a
I agree with you! I have a 4 year old who is developmentally 3 and going thru the terrible threes now. My typical kid, who is 16 now, went thru the terrible threes when he started talking back to me but was an angel at 2. Twos are much easier to redirect. Threes aren't. But tots can be a pain in the neck at any age!!!
My daughter is going to be 3
My daughter is going to be 3 in february and let me tell you, 2 hasn't been that bad of an age, I find that as she gets a little older and a bit more aware of herself, she's been more tempermental.
So I'd have to say that 3 is probably going be the terrible bit...oh thank god I've got access to alot of coffee, because I doubt I'm going to be getting alot of sleep next year...
