I liked Scottsdale Childcare
I liked Scottsdale Childcare and Learning Center. I think its on Greenway and Tatum. They were real friendly. The place was always clean. You only pay for the days your child is there. The lady that runs the infant room is awesome she has a regular schedule she keeps them on.
Now this is only hearsay,
Now this is only hearsay, but I spoke with a lady who went to the above mentioned center and said she thought and I quote," it was like a little prison for babies." She said they rarely let them out of the crib and there was no floor time for them. Kind of sad, I thought.
This is not hearsay. I take
This is not hearsay. I take my child there and have for the last 5 months. I started taking him at 6 mos and now he is 11mos. He has plenty of tummy time and they even take them outside at different times of the day. They practice walking with him and sitting up(when he was younger) I only recommend the place because I am still having a good experience with them.
Have you considered home
Have you considered home daycare? AZ childcare resource and referral is a good place to start. Commercial centers are also listed here.

I enrolled my daughter in
I enrolled my daughter in Temple Kol Ami Early Childhood Center at 3 months. She thrived in the infant room. The "teachers" are excellent with the babies. It is obvious that they love children/babies and there was no staff turnover while my daughter attended the center. The center is very clean and safe. I highly recommend Temple Kol Ami. The center is located on 64th Street just south of Greenway.
I believe this is a Jewish
I believe this is a Jewish place of worship, my husband and I are Catholic, do they accept other religions?
Yes, it is a Jewish place of
Yes, it is a Jewish place of worship but they accept all children. My family is not Jewish and the "teachers" in the infant room are not Jewish either. The babies have music time and the cantor sings for them. (On a side note, one of the afternoon teachers has a beautiful voice and is always singing to the babies too.) The older children are exposed to more of the Jewish traditions. I like that my daughter will learn about another culture.
One of the main reasons I chose to enroll my daughter at the temple was that I only work part-time and it was one of the few places I found that offer part-time infant room rates. (I was opposed to using in-home daycare for safety concerns since I didn't personally know anyone who did this.) Overall, I am very pleased with the center. The only downside is that it is on a school calendar so it is probably closed on more days that a for-profit center. (It is open during the summer, Christmas and spring breaks but at an additional cost.) It is also closed on Jewish holidays. It works for my family but my husband and I have flexible work schedules.
I hope this helps you. I remember how anxious I was looking for daycare for my daughter. Good luck to you!
I brought my son to
I brought my son to McCormick Preschool when he was 2 months, 2 weeks. I would have started him there sooner but first brought him to Little Kings and Queens. NEVER go to Kings and Queens. Within the first week of leaving my newborn baby there, my mom was able to pick him up without ever being asked for ID and she had never been there before. My car was also broken into in the parking lot.
But I love McCormick. From the first day I felt comfortable with leaving my son there. The infant staff was great, loving and very nurturing. I really considered them part of my family. And they were very protective of who came into the infant room. My mother had her ID checked by two people for the first 10-15 times she picked him up.
They are located a little north in Scottsdale, on McDonald and Hayden, but it is well worth the drive. My son is no longer there, due to a cross state move, but I would go back in a heart beat!
Now he goes to the Valley Learing and Cjhild Care Center, they have several locations, and i am just as happy with them!
