I do not have children in
I do not have children in grade school yet, however years ago before I was a mommy I volunteered my time as a mentor at Madison Park (on Campbell.) The mentor program was called Arizona Quest for Kids. I think its a different program than the one you mentioned. However, from my experience it looked to me that Madison Park did wonderful things for their kids. The program I mentored at began when the child was in 5th grade through 8th grade. Since my mentee is now in high school and no longer at Madison Park - I no longer mentor her - however I'd imagine things at the school are still flowing well. I still keep in touch with my mentee and I know her younger brother (who is still at Madison Park) is in the Quest program. Again - this program is much different than the one you mentioned however go visit the school counselor to find out more about REACH. Here's some info on AZ Quest for Kids - a wonderful program for underprivileged children!
The Arizona Quest for Kids (AQFK) mission is simple: to prepare high-potential, low-income students for success in college and beyond.
Enrolled in the fifth grade, students are paired with a caring adult mentor who supports their academic and personal development. Career-focused enrichment opportunities and a comprehensive college guidance initiative are essential components of the program. AQFK also provides educational workshops to parents as they support their child.s pursuit of a college education.
Students who meet all program requirements and graduate from high school receive individualized support to access a wide variety of scholarship and financial aid opportunities for college
