My little brother, now 32,
My little brother, now 32, has lived with Tourette's since he was about 9yo. At times, it has been more severe. He has tried different medications off and on. To compound things, he also has specific learning disabilities. School was a struggle for him. Fast forward to adulthood, he is married with two cute kids (his 7yo son is autistic, not sure about a link to Tourette's) and a great job. Computers were his thing and he works in computer network security for a large local corporation making about 3x as much as I do as a teacher with a master's degree. His employers have been understanding about his tics (with have included swear words at times) and provided him with an office instead of a cubicle so he could work more comfortably. If you want to send me your email, I could pass it along to him if you have more specific questions. I do know there used to be a local support group for TS parents and children. Hope this helps!
