and Author event. Brilliant Sky Toys & Books and Five Star Publications
have teamed up to offer two events to get your children exciting about
writing. With Summer coming, it is the perfect time to get the children
excited about writing books and journals. Both workshops are designed
for children ages 7-17. Parents and teachers are encouraged to attend in order
to learn more about help students get published.

Tuesday, May 6, 5:30-7:00; Free Event- Kids Can Publish Workshop!
The Kids Can Publish Workshop:
* Excites students about writing
* Educates children about real-life published child authors
* Gives kids and teachers tips on how to get published
* Brings the 12-year-old author of The Student from Zombie Island: Conquering the Rumor Monster into the classroom via DVD to talk about writing and publishing, and answer frequently asked questions
* Is the perfect adjunct to any writing assignment, in that students will WANT to write after attending this workshop. In addition, they will come to understand the importance of good writing skills - no matter what their goals in life are!
