Yoga teacher training at Southwest Institute for Healing Arts (SWIHA)

Just thought I'd share something that represents for me a huge departure from my daily life and professional training.

I recently learned that there is a yoga teacher training course being offered by my favorite yoga teacher. It's pretty intensive, and I'm no pretzel, but I'm seriously considering taking it to "deepen my practice" (and hopefully my backbends). I don't know if it's for everyone, but I really like the approach of the instructor, which means I'd likely get more out of it than other sorts of midlife crisis therapy. ;)

I must admit that part of the appeal is that it would become my "me" time, scheduled and paid for, and perhaps in addition to helping my body, I'm secretly hoping that it will help me take a more "zen" mental approach to those nagging daily stresses we all have.

I have taught yoga in the past I loved it. I don't know if Cain teaches at SWIHA anymore but if that is who you're talking about..or Barb, go for it! But don't expect it to make you any cash. That is why I used to teach Yoga and now I work part time and dabble in that world. I really was spending a lot of time and $$ going to classes and conferences and it was causing sort of a financial strain, especially with a college student in the family.

It's all a matter of balance.
