I see where Elmo's coming to town -- again. When I bought that Tickle Me Elmo for doll for my nephew a few years back, I thought we were at the end of the Elmo craze. Will he ever die? Barney seems to have disappeared. When will Elmo go away?

I hope he doesn't go away. He is such a sweet example for our kids. My folks are taking my girls to the show and I think they'll love it (my folks and the girls), although the girls are now squarely in a "Dora" phase.

We still have our "original" Tickle Me Elmo, now handed down 3 times...I think Elmo will endure!

Elmo is hugely popular with
Elmo is hugely popular with 2, 3 and 4 year olds. Why? Sometimes I do wonder, but he's a kid just like them. Acts silly just like them. And since he's not a trouble maker, sometimes you just have to tolerate him. Really annoying characters come later...two who annoy me are Zac and Cody from "Suite Life..." on Disney for all those with pretweens/tweens. One's good, the other is not so good and both annoy.

One of the first words my kids said were Elmo. Barney is still popular in our house also. We will be checking out the Elmo show at Dodge Theatre next month!
My 7 month olds eyes light
My 7 month olds eyes light up every time he sees or hears Elmo!!! Since he was born, I always show him the Sesame Street characters on his Pampers, each time I change him. I would joke and say "Elmo is your best friend, and you don't even KNOW him!", when he was only weeks old! I don't think Elmo is going anywhere. Besides, when he sings with famous people like Alicia Keys, Chris Brown, Andrea Bocelli and REM, it's entertaining to ME as well!!!
I watch a 14 month old girl,
I watch a 14 month old girl, and she is already saying the word "Elmo." Unbelievable. She absolutely loves Elmo and we are hoping to win tickets for her. She would be devastated if Elmo went away.

We have tickle me elmo, rollerskate elmo, pizza thing elmo, hokey pokey chicken outfit elmo. Elmo is a classic and adorable. My kids have all outgrown him or it. I was in denial and have all the elmos in the closet hoping my four year old would renew her love for him but so far no luck.
