The Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run culminates today in the Phoenix area. Thousands of law enforcement officers will carry the torch from all over the state of Arizona. The Torch arrives in Phoenix today and will be carried to Tempe to light the Flame of Hope and start the Special Olympics Arizona Summer games. It is an awesome sight and gives me chills and makes me cry every time I see it.
So….if you are driving in the Phoenix area today and get snarled up in traffic and you wonder what in the heck is going on, it is probably law enforcement officers running with the torch to ASU. So instead of stewing in your car thinking about the seconds that are ticking away--honk, cheer, clap, and let them know you appreciate their efforts.

That would be so cool to
That would be so cool to see. I did not even know about it until I read this. I read a few pages of the AZ Republic online and AZ Central online but did not see anything about it. Would have been nice to see it publicized more. Thanks for posting.
