Has anyone had a chance to watch "Baby Borrowers" on NBC? Last night I had a chance to sit down and watch a show without any interruptions and instead of settling for a rated "R" movie or a more grown up show I settled on "Baby Borrowers". For those of you not familar with the show, "NBC's reality series "The Baby Borrowers" is an intriguing new social experiment based on the hit British program that asks five diverse teenage couples -- ages 18-20 -- to fast-track to adulthood by setting up a home, getting a job and becoming caring parents first to babies, toddlers, pre-teens and their pets, teenagers and senior citizens -- all over the course of three weeks."
After watching the show I thought that it was a great idea, it was a real "eye opener" for these teens. I remember when I was in high school we had the "baby think it over" dolls and even that was a challenge for me. I just wish that there were more programs like this for teens. Maybe they should work with MTV on allowing them to show this on their network so that they can reach these teens.

I saw the previews for this
I saw the previews for this show but missed it. I want to see it because that was my life, I married and became a mother very, very, very young. That's a fantastic idea for the show to aire on MTV. That would be a positive and educational show for teens in my opinion.

Yes I've watched it. I
Yes I've watched it. I think this is a great program and should be implemented across the valley!
There is no way to be a perfect mother, but a million ways to be a good one!
I watched it too. I love
I watched it too. I love the concept. These teen couples want to be married and have kids young, but then realize how much work it takes (and that's in just a few days!).
I'm not quite sure I understand how these parents have volunteered their child to be cared for by these teenage couples. There was one teen girl that couldn't handle it and threw all the responsibility on the boyfriend. She slept through crying, wasn't feeding the child enough...and having seen that, as the mother I would have marched right in there and yanked my kid from such a neglectful situation. I know it's all monitored, but that's one aspect of the show that pains me to watch. It's all a great learning lesson for the teens, but would you want to give your baby up to such a social experiment???? NOT ME.
I agree it was hard to watch
I agree it was hard to watch these babies cry and not be attended to, I too would have marched right in there and said enough is enough. I just wonder if the kids came down with anything after their debut?? Such as coughs, colds, etc.
I, too, watched it and think
I, too, watched it and think there should be programs like this out there.

I felt bad for the parents
I felt bad for the parents watching the two teens on a monitor. That would have stressed me out watching someone not take care of my baby the way I did. I can't wait until they get to the senior citizens.
