Free AZ Science Center admission...

ArizonaMoms's picture

If you have a Bank of America ATM card, credit card or check card, then you can get into a whole lot of museums nationally for free on certain days through May 2009. Among the offerings is Arizona Science Center.

There's about 70 or so museums nationally that you can go to for free on the first Saturday and Sunday of each month. All you have to do is show your BofA card at the box office. That means July 5 and 6 is your next chance to check out the science center for free.

The program has been around 11 years, but just arrived in Arizona. And best of all, you aren't required to buy anything...it's not a buy one, get one deal.

For a full list of museums, go to www.bankofamerica.com/museums.

wow - what a wonderful deal! I had not ever heard of this!
What I was familiar with (and have used on multiple occasions and saved A LOT of money) was the shared membership from the AZ Science Center.
If you are a member of the Science Center, your membership card will also be honored (as in, get in free) at about 400 other museums around the U.S.

So when we took a family vacation to Des Moines, the Iowa Science Center (fabulous) was free. When we were in Las Vegas last month, the Lied Children's Museum (just north of the Stratosphere and also wonderful!) was also free.

Before we head out on a trip, I always check the list for whatever state we'll be in.

Over time, it can save you hundreds!

I'm with you carrying my membership card around. I love saving money. I also check web sites to see if places offer deals for other affiliations (whether its a credit card or AAA membership).

Thanks! I LOVE when people post deals!!! It is so expensive to do anything around here and it makes you feel twice as good when you do something and it costs way less than it should!

Originally I was told the free deal goes through May 2009. It's actually April 2009. A new list of museums will be posted in May 2009.
