Bon Jovi Memories

There is a commercial that asks "Do you remember where you were when you first heard..."(and they start playing Living on a Prayer by Bon Jovi). I don't remember the first time, but I remember a boy I was dating went to Deer Valley High, and he took me to a school party. At one point I left the party and found 2 of his friends in his pick-up, with the stereo cranked playing Bon Jovi. I sat in for a song or two and we all rocked out, they were drumming and playing air guitar and I was singing. I remember thinking how this was kind of what youth was about. It is such an innocent, fun memory. Was wondering if any other songs bring back memories like that for anyone else?

Bon Jovi brings back lots of

Bon Jovi brings back lots of memories. I went to one of their concerts in high school. I remember meeting a cute college boy. It was a respectable meeting. For some reason I think I met up with him again in college, but I never asked. My friends and I had so much fun that night. We were on the floor and I had one of my high school buddies let me get on his shoulders. He ended up having a crush on me, and I didn't know until then. Bon Jovi is still a great band, and Jon is still a little hottie.

My first bon jovi encounter

My first bon jovi encounter was when I was 18.Bon Jovi came to Compton Terrace. And thats when you still could wait outside in front of Fiesta Mall and buy your tickets.
Anyways,Rumor was always going on that Jon liked to go out in the crowd before the band started and mingle in with the crowd. Well we camped out all night @ fiesta Mall and got 3rd row to see Bon Jovi. Got there to the concert early, there were tour busses on the grounds. Was waiting for my Bf to get back with drinks looked over to my left and there was Jon standing next to me.Wearing his White jersey and his cut off shorts he always wore.No words,no nothing came out of my mouth just stunned! Watched him walk back to the busses.Got enough nerve to walk over to his body guards and ask if that was him, they smiled and said Yep and enjoyed the concert .....

Oh I love Bon Jovi, the old

Oh I love Bon Jovi, the old stuff I mean - new stuff is okay, but not my favorite.

Our high school graduation song was Never Say Goodbye, I have such good memories surrounding Bon Jovi as well as other hairbands such as Poison, Cinderella, Ratt, etc. Good old 80's Rock.

*sigh* I miss rock songs that featured guitar solos and really rockin' beats.

It is better to be hated for what you are, than to be loved for what you are not.

Funny you should mention big hair, my daughter brought up my "big hair" days tonight at dinner, I tried to convince her that it was high fashion at the time. She seemed skeptical (but you all know it was!).

That's what I think every time I see a guy with his pants hanging low..."someday your kids are going to see this photo and ask you what you were thinking". I think that trend is finally dying down, but it seems I"ve been seeing undies for about 8 years now!
