I've got a soon to be 14 year old girl whose best friend has requested and gotten
tickets from her parents for this girl and two friends to attend a concert for Panic at the Disco. The plan is that her parents will drive them to a city 100 miles from where we live and drop them at
the concert and go shopping while they are at the concert. I am not completely comfortable
with this because I know nothing about the group except for viewing their lyrics (which
are basically okay lyrics) on the internet.
Does anyone have any experience with this group or any feedback at all about this.
The best friend's parents are good people but I think they get pushed by their daughter
into experiences that I am more reluctant about. Not major things but an example is they are more relaxed about allowing their two girls to watch PG 13 movies without any concern. I, on the other hand often feel I want to research or see the movie first since PG 13 can swing from close to G rating on the one hand or close to R rating at the other end.
I'd appreciate any input. Thanks, Judy

I completely understand your
I completely understand your concern; I think I would be reluctant to let my 14 year old go to a concert un- chaperoned. Call me overprotective, but even when my son was that age, I was worried to even let him go to the movies or the mall without an adult(I did let him, but I was bitting my nails the whole time he was gone), I am sure I will be the same way with my daughter when that time comes. I know that you have to let them experience some things on their own, but that would be a little too big of a crowd for me to feel comfortable…just my opinion. :)

Panic at the Disco is really
Panic at the Disco is really fun to see in concert. (im not sure about this time around) but last tour was all about the circus theme. and they had people on stilts and ropes and cartwheelers. Things like that. But they are for sure pg-13, but not pushing it to the "rated r" hand. If these kids are 13/14 yrs old then it should be fine for them. gotta give her a chance sometime. If its the other parents you are worried about then why dont you go shopping to so you can be there to pick up your daughter. Then u know shes safe and also had a fun time w. her friends. If u want to see more of them, go to youtube and pull up some of their videos.
