Do you know that Phoenix has one of the few fully professional a capella choirs in the country? My friend sings in it and my husband and I have gone to 3 or 4 concerts. Their singing is about as pure and perfect as any I've heard. They give concerts at Trinity Cathedral in Phoenix, at Brophy Chapel at Brophy Prep and at La Casa de Cristo Church in Scottsdale. There are other venues but these vary considerably.
They sing rather obscure classical pieces, but there's always a program that explains what you are listening to. Even if you don't like classical music, you will be blown away by their singing when they all hit that perfect note together.
They have put out a few cds. One they released last year, Eternal Rest, is up for 4 Grammys this year! The producer of that cd submitted another one of their cds and that's up for a Best Producers Grammy, as well. If you ever have a chance to go see them, do! It's an experience not to be missed!
