Child abuse happens a lot. Too much.
I've just finished reading that, statistically, four children will die today in the U.S. because of child abuse. That amounts to a plane full of children. Scary and heartbreaking.
I'm writing about this today because April 2 is Childhelp's National Day of Hope. It's a day the nonprofit works to bring light attention to child abuse.
The group also raises money to support programs that help victims. Right now, it's selling a four-wick candle for $10 that will support its National Child Abuse Hotline.
More info about its programs is available at www.childhelp.org.
