The sexy pics in Vanity Fair was the question of the day on azcentral.com.
Nearly 2,000 people responded to the question: Do you think the career of Miley Cyrus will suffer as a result of her racy photos in Vanity Fair ?
The answer, by a landslide: No.
More than 75 percent don't think it will hurt. I'm in agreement, especially if she doen't pull a Lindsay or Britney (both Disney alumns).
As moms, we've talked about the photos, but what do you think these will do for her career?

I like Miley. I truly
I like Miley. I truly believe after she saw the pictures and the moment was over, she was like uh what did I just do.
I hope she doesn't become another Britney or Lindsey. How sad. I believe her career will be fine.

I agree. Her career will be
I agree. Her career will be just fine. As they say "there's no bad publicity." The kind of exposure (ha ha) she'll get from this may not boost her personally (or maybe she will learn a hard lesson an easy way) but it will boost her career. Her career with Disney may be another thing. Although at this point I think they need her more than she needs them.
I respect Annie Leibovitz as a photographer and I am really disapointed in her.
Her career will be fine; I
Her career will be fine; I just hope she takes it as a lesson on what not to do and not a springboard into the Hollywood fast crowd.

I am tired of this subject.
I am tired of this subject. It happened - let's move on. The only people who seem to be effected by this are parents with nothing else to do. The kids seem to be able to move on.

Wow, that's kind of a harsh
Wow, that's kind of a harsh statement karilouMomof2.
As parents why shouldn't we be worried or comment on yet another child actor doing inappropriate things. The press and Hollywood glorifies these kids and our kids see it. If we as parents don't take the time to point out inappropriate behavior then our kids will grow up thinking it's okay. When these things happen, as they seem to be more and more, parents need to talk to their kids and explain how they feel and discuss how the kids should respond if someone wants to take a picture of them. This does happen more than parents maybe want to admit. With so many people having digital cameras and camera cell phone, it's really easy for your kid to be in that situation. I for one will feel better knowing I've discussed this latest picture with my kids and feel good knowing that they understand it's ok to say NO.
I most say though it seems like every week or two there is a new child actor scandal. I get kinda tired of hearing about it to I guess. Where are these children’s parents!!!!!!! Why is the almighty dollar raising these kids in stead of loving parents who care about what their children are becoming? Sometimes it makes me so sad I want to cry at the way these kids are turning out and at the same time so angry that no one seems to care.

I am sorry it came across so
I am sorry it came across so harsh. What I mean by my comment is I think we get the 'picture' and if we needed to talk with our children we would have. It just seems to be beaten to death. I don't know why we need to continue to beat a dead horse so to speak. Sorry if I offended, that was not my intention.

Well I do agree things from
Well I do agree things from the media do seem to get betten to death. Here on arizona moms though I think things like comments about this girl are actually pretty brief. The moms seem to be much more interested in real every day topics. No hard feelings!

What's sickening to me is
What's sickening to me is how much of a child she looks in that picture that Vanity Fair took of her. It's not like they were capturing a "sexy" type of picture of an adult star, i.e. Brittney Spears, etc. which they were more than likely aiming for, they took a picture of a young girl who in the picture still looks very girlish and young and not nearly like a sex symbol which is what most magazines are aiming at capturing when they take pictures of stars like this. It's sick; Vanity Fair should be ashamed of themselves for taking pictures like this of such a young girl (young in the grand scheme of celebrities). You would have thought they would have used much more discretion than they did. Fortunately, I don't think her career will suffer much from this. This story, article, and picture will capture more adult audience attention than younger children (thankfully).
I have not seen the photos
I have not seen the photos but I read about them, and the fact that Annie Liebowitz (world famous photographer) took the picutres, and all I can say is "watch out for your kids"!! Come on people, the girl is 15 years old and she is being marketed like a tramp. She has a beautiful, great voice and is a pretty fair actress, why does she need attention focused on her body and looks by being photographed half naked already? I will never allow my two girls to adulate such a pop star. As for the question posed - will it hurt her career - who cares, but it has clearly shown who she - and her parents are.
