Vogue Cover - Controversy?

Have you seen the new Vogue cover?

I saw the cover and thought nothing of it. Now I am seeing articles all over the internet stating how some people are offended by the cover and say it's racist. Did I miss something?

So, i looked at it again ... mind you, i would not have given it a second glance, let alone a second thought had i not heard all the controversy regarding it. I still don't see what all the controversy is about. So, I read one of the many articles and it mentions that Lebron James is the first black man to be on the cover of Vogue - for that i say, it's about time Vogue! ;0) So i continue to read the article and there are other comments regarding the photo "as perpetuating racial stereotypes" regarding the way the two of them posed together and the look on Lebrons face.

Take a look at the cover and tell me if you think the cover is controversial or if the whole thing is being blown out of proportion.
