I just got back from a weekend in Vegas with my college girlfriends. I'd like to pass on what we learned in case anyone else is going and wants to research a bit. We stayed in the new hotel Platinum. It is suite style so it can sleep 6, 2 queen beds and a fold out couch. It was just over $200 a night for double occumpancy and they'd charge $45 per night for each additional guest. However we negotiated that part. The bathroom was HUGE, plenty of room for us all to get ready before we went out, believe it or not. AND it had a full kitchen, side by side fridge/freezer, mico, dishwasher, stove, oven, laundry with a great island for us to snack around. Really nice/really new. I think the goal is to sell all the units as condos, which is why it was so well appointed. It was at the end of the strip, next to Bally's and we could walk or catch a shuttle or tram to everywhere.
We really liked Margaritaville for dinner and dancing. Great band, nice people, no cover, so it wasn't where all the beautiful people may have been, but we danced a lot and there weren't many creepos. The $30 cover charge at other places just seemed crazy!
We also liked the $23 buffet at the Bellagio. Served all day until 4:00, seafood ceviche was excellent, crab legs, shrimp, prime rib, the usual stuff... for $5 more you could have a champagne brunch. Rio also has a similar buffet we heard, but the Bellagio has the beautiful "conservatory" that was so nice to walk through.
We tried to get into 'O' but it was sold out. If you want to do that, plan better than we did. My girlfriends and I had a great time, and will do it again someday. It was about a 5 hour drive. Our favorite part was coming home to our families, but I think we'd all recommend it to others who need some non-mommy time.

when you say "non mommy
when you say "non mommy time", does that mean you didn't once think about your kids when you were there? Did you call them at all, or were they allowed to call you or where you off limits to them completely, cause this was your time??
" just my Opinion"
Non-mommy time included
Non-mommy time included doing the stuff we don't get to do with our children ie: sleeping late, wearing make-up, dressing up, going dancing, feeling like we still got "it", eating at nice restaurants, seeing a show on a whim, talking about girl stuff, taking a nap, staying out late, late, reading all the way through a magazine while drinking something that no one else wants a sip of (not that they could in this case), eating when we wanted instead of when someone else needed to eat... It was great for 2 nights, but "Our favorite part was coming home to our families.."
Of course doing that doesn't mean we weren't available to the people we love most. I called 3 times in the 2 nights I was there. I think the other girls were about the same.

Thanks for sharing! An
Thanks for sharing! An organization I work with is looking to do a leadership retreat in Vegas next June & we are on the search for any suite style accommodations. I'll be sure to look this hotel up! Thanks again.
