We just went to the location near Loop 101 & I-17. They were awesome! They had the best customer service I've ever seen at a fast food place. They have a very nice play area for little kids. It's in it's own glass room, so they can be loud without bothering the other customers. There were several little things that you just don't normally see...plastic place mats to cover the tables, sanitizing wipes at the front. Soooo much nicer than the "M" place for kids.

We LOVE Chick-A-Fila. They do offer the nicest customer service and are very family oriented. I think on Wednesday's, kids eat free. At least the one by Loop 101 and Bell Road does. Great food and great shakes! Yummm

I believe they are Mormon
I believe they are Mormon owned, not that it makes a difference except that is why they are closed on Sundays. All locations, even in the malls. Doesn't matter what time of year either. Kind of nice to see a business stick to what they believe and not change because of what everyone else is doing. Oh, don't get me wrong - I am glad other places are open on Sunday, or we might not eat :)

I love that place, too! I really like their carrot-raisin salad and you can substitute the regular bun for a whole wheat one. Yes, very family oriented. Their kiddie prizes are usually mini-books like The Jungle Book or Sam Adams rather than the usual plastic Disney junk. Very nice!
Actually, Chick-fil-A is not
Actually, Chick-fil-A is not a Mormon company. The founder, Truett Cathy, is Baptist and built the company on biblical principles. Chick-fil-As are closed on Sundays to give staff a day of rest, time with their families, and time off for church if they choose to attend.
Does anyone know how much a
Does anyone know how much a kid's meal is with the toy? Is it pretty equal to McDonalds? Also, if kids eat free on Wednesday's, is that only if an adult buys for themselves?
I think a kid's meal is
I think a kid's meal is around $2.50-$3.00, if I'm not mistaken. Choice of nuggets or filets, waffle fries, and a drink (milk or juice). I believe they also have mini sandwiches for bigger kids. I'm also pretty sure you have to purchase an adult meal to get the free kiddie meal.
Thank you for the info. I
Thank you for the info. I think I will also make the change from "M" to Chick-Fil-A.
We also love the Chick'!
We also love the Chick'! I've been to a few around town and they are all clean with great customer service and yummy food, beats a greasy burger anyday.
I LOVE Chik-fil-a! The diet
I LOVE Chik-fil-a! The diet lemonade is really good (made with Splenda) and I like the wheat bun option and the fruit cup is always good.

We're fans too! Our nearest location (I-60 and Stapley) has free kids meals with an adult combo all day on Tuesdays! We usually go there for lunch although Tuesday nights they also have the Kids' Night activities. Another thing I recently learned is you can trade in the kids meal toy for a small ice cream cone! I nice option if you don't want all the toys floating around.

The bad news that they hide
The bad news that they hide from you at Chick-Fil-A?
That the kids meal actually only comes with soda (my kids don't drink that) or lemonade (my daughter doesn't like that).
If you want the milk or the juice with the kids meal (the only 2 drinks that they put a picture of on the menu) - THEY CHARGE EXTRA!!
(just like the way that the whole wheat bun is + 20cents)
I was horrified and complained once to a manager...he said, "if you don't want to pay extra, then buy (your 4 year) soda!"
I still love the place, but I grimace every time I'm charged extra for the juice box.

There isn't any bad news at Chick-fil-A. All kid's drinks purchased with kid's meals are the same price, regardless of type. There is not an extra charge for apple juice or milk as long as it is rung up as kid's size.
Well, the kids meal at the
Well, the kids meal at the 101 and Raintree only includes soda or lemonade - at least the last few times we ordered one!
The manager specifically told me if I wanted milk as the drink with a kids meal it was extra.
- even though the menu board only shows pictures of 2 drinks in the kids meal section . a milk and a juice box.

Don't get me wrong,
Don't get me wrong, Chick-Fil-A is our favorite of the fast food places...and we visit a bit too frequently!
That said, I bought my son a kid's meal today...and, after this blog - read the menu closely.
I discovered that, unlike McDonalds where you can substitute the fries for the apples FOR FREE, I was charged an extra $0.34 to substitute the waffle fries for the fruit.
oh well. Still got the fruit!
Just a bummer that you have to pay extra for healthy.
Same deal with having to pay 20 cents extra to do the chicken sandwich on wheat, instead of white. I mean, come on, does wheat bread really cost more? Not at Safeway! :)
