Hey West Valley girls...

divaballerina's picture

Have any of you tried the new nice restaurant at the Wigwam???? Or what about Skye off of Bell Rd??? My husband and I want a date night this weekend... Please let me know... Also if we choose Skye, how do people dress??? I want to dress up.. It's a rareity and I miss it... I basically want something Scottsdale-ish over here on the West Side so we don't have a long drive home... Thanks!!!

Even though I haven't ate at

Even though I haven't ate at either place, I've heard a few things about each. Skye is supposed to have pretty good food but the down side is that it turns into a club toward the later portion of the night (don't know if you and your hubby would like that or not). The Wigwam is pretty pricey and the food is either hit or miss. Some of the reviews say certain things are good and others mediocre (azcentral.com did a review about a month or so ago). When I'm unsure of a place, I always check out thier menus first and make a decision off of that.

I have not been to either as well but I've heard there are some nice restaurants at Westgate now or around the area even across from the 101. One of my favorites to dine is the Melting Pot but of course is in Scottsdale.

I have been to Skye once...

I have been to Skye once... for like 10 minutes (long enough for one drink LOL) I live right down the street so I was hoping it could become a cool new hangout close to home.. well.. my overall impression was that we were the youngest ones in there. It wasn't just a 30 - 50s-ish crowd, (which we dont really mind ..wer'e 24 and 25) but muuuch older crowd and the music seemed to match. : / I don't know if something special was going on ..but it was a saturday night! Oh and when we went to leave I BARELY bumped a womans table (trying to get around people that couldnt seem to hear me saying pardon me LOL go figure) and said "oh i am so sorry!" and she was all up in arms about "young kids are so rude... she almost spilled my martini!.. yadda yadda" :D LOL Im really nice and dont mind older people but they just seemed so appalled that we were there! O_O
