La Perla has good tamales, just stay away from Manuels...their tamales are gross!!! Macayos tamales are really good too.

My mother-in-law makes great tamales but she's in Texas :) But here in town I recommend the tamales at La Purisima bakery on Glendale near 45th Avenue. They are really good!

My husband's the big tamale lover and we tried this place over Christmas. We tried the pork tamales and he thought they were good. The chicken was mildly spicey (green chili) and tasted even better. I'm sure we'll be back to sample more:)
