Postinos is my favorite restaurant, bar none! I love the mere idea of drinking wine and eating bruschetta for hours at a time. Postinos is by La Grande Orange Grocery in Arcadia.
Cyclo is another fave. It's a vietnamese restaurant we went to for dinner club. The owner is hysterically funny and our husbands all got a kick out of her. We told her we'd never had vietnamese food before and she gave us a bunch of different dishes to try and all were verrrry good, not too spicy. Cyclo is on Warner Road in Chandler.

Yum - Postinos is a good
Yum - Postinos is a good place. I also enjoy Grazie close to downtown Scottsdale (Pizza and Italian food.) If you enjoy dim sum for Sunday brunch then C-Fu in Chandler feels very authentic - a nice treat!

I just tried Palatte this
I just tried Palatte this weekend - wonderful breakfast and lunch place near 4th ave and Roosevelt in Phx. (Next to Cibo, where the garden place used to be) The restaurant also sells gifts in the back.

Kai at the Sheraton Wild
Kai at the Sheraton Wild Horse Resort is simply amazing....Like being on a different planet. Beats some of the top restaurants I've been to in LA, NY and Europe. Definitely a "very, very special occasion" place, though....
In the Central Phoenix area,
In the Central Phoenix area, I love Richardson's on 16th Street & Bethany. Kind of pricey, and small,so on weekends you usually wait for a while. Really worth it, though. The food is New Mexican Cuisine...kinda spicy and really unique. Cozy, cool atmosphere, too. They're open late for dinner so it's a great place to go after a movie or show. Also their Sunday Brunch is amazing. they have the most delicious southwestern eggs benedict! .

I've been to Postinos for wine with friends....it's great, but far away for me unless it's after work.
I love going to Roy's (even if it is a chain)...love the ahi. I've tried a few other dishes...a macadamian crusted ono at the restaurant in Hawaii and a scallops and shrimp dish at their scottsdale location (we celebrated our 10th anniversary there and the service was fabulous). but I keep coming back to the ahi. mmm.
Also nice for wine is D'Vine...their main location is in Mesa, but they opened one recently in the Ocotillo part of Chandler. I went with a girl friend recently and there was live music, tasty appetizers and a decent wine selection.
