Has anyone else noticed the proliferation of whole grains in everyday food lately? The cereal aisle is stocked with boxes stamped with "Whole Grains" and even Pop-Tarts now come with a Whole Grains label.
And, they taste good!
Is anyone buying the whole grains version of their faves simply because it says "whole grains" and it sounds healthier? Whole Grain Eggo waffles certainly seem better on the conscience than the old style Eggo waffles.

I was raised on whole
I was raised on whole grains, so my husband and son are stuck with them regardless since I do the shopping:) I do notice how much easier it is to buy a multitude of different products in whole grains than it used to be. We are loving the variety. You still need to read the labels though to make sure that oats or whole wheat are listed first in the ingredients and that there is not too much sugar(high fructose corn syrup) and enough fiber!
Ditto to Jack's mommy. Whole
Ditto to Jack's mommy. Whole grains are great, but almost everything is made with some whole grains. You really have to watch your label and the grams of sugar. I am glad that companies are starting to take notice and adding whole grains to everyday products.
If you like to bake, you can mix 1/2 whole wheat flour and 1/2 white flour in your jar and use it when you bake.
I'm a huge fan of working in healthy things whenever possible. My 3 boys are even starting to enjoy most of the stuff I thought they would never like!

I do the same as
I do the same as brookeromney. You can also add wheat germ to muffins, yogurt, add water pancake mix to add to the whole grains and a healthy dose of vitamin B and Omega 3's!
I'm eating more whole grains
I'm eating more whole grains -- because I'm *not* the one doing the grocery shopping. I work from home, and because of gas prices, my DP does the shopping and errand circuit on the way home from work.
I'm up for better nutrition, but, every once in awhile, I just crave a bologna sandwich with French's mustard on squishy white bread. Is that just me?
You can still have squishy
You can still have squishy white bread, just choose a whole white wheat variety. I buy Wonder bread made with whole white wheat for pb&j's because we think they taste better on white bread, but I am not willing to sacrifice all of the nutrition. When you have little kids, they don't always have the best appetites so you have to get the best version of whatever they are eating into their little bodies!
If given the choice and it
If given the choice and it is the same price, I'll pick the most grain! I like the bulkier texture like in bread. I won't pay a fortune for it though.
Whole grain unprocessed it
Whole grain unprocessed it better than processed whole grains. But of course, whole grain anything is better tfor us then white breads.
