Crappy Virus

I was hit with this bug last month. I developed bronchitis and it seemed to get better with antibiotics but then it came back. I needed a stronger antibiotic. You should get rechecked if you start having trouble breathing and you're coughing a lot.

One of the parents I know have it. He said it was going around at his job, and their son went home Thursday with high temps. I think he finally caught it too. They felt achy, and very hoarse when talking. Hope you all get to feeling better.

Yup, we've got it, and be prepared - it lasts a long time! My DS has had a fever since last Sunday (!). The ped said it has been taking 7 to 10 days to resolve.

Yep I am one of the lucky ones to get it. Of course I am pregnant so in the beginning they told me to just take sudaphed and tylenol but after 6 days they finally prescribed me antibiotics and cough medicine. Horrible congestion, cough and now the congestion is in my chest. Going on 10 days now and I am finally feeling better just a cough now. Good luck to anyone lucky enough to get this.

yeah, it's been pretty nasty (inappropriate term) so far and it's only been 3 days .. I don't think I've slept so much in I can't even remember how long .... luckily my daughter being only 5 has been quite understanding and very sweet about wanting to take care of me .... it seems to have gone to my stomach as of this afternoon and making that feel awful ... oh well ... guess I'll suck it up and get on with it ... I finally felt like I had to get outta the house this afternoon after literally doing nothing for 3 days but sleeping but I shouldn't have ... I feel worst now!!

I have it right now too. :( BLAH!!!! My 4 year old has had a fever for 8 days. Poor kid!!! I get to spend Easter with my youngest at home by ourselves. :( While my hubby takes my oldest son to his family to celebrate Easter. What fun!!!
I am not real happy about this but what do you do? I guess they shouldn't have to suffer too. Glad to know that I am not alone.

My husband started with the sore throat 3 weeks ago, and 2 weeks ago everything else started. After 15 days, he is NO better! He's done a "z pack" (azithromyacin) for the past 5 days - taking his last one today and it did NOTHING.
I guess he'll be back at the MD on Monday. Ugh.

He was worried if he had Valley Fever or something, but was reassured, that "nope, you just have what everyone else has, and it lasts far too long."

I've been sick off and on the past 6 weeks. My throat is hurting again. So not fun. I lost my voice and have had incredibly bad sinus headaches. Yuck. I just want it all to go away.
