Pediatrician in (N/W) Phoenix

cmom's picture

I'm looking to change pediatricians. Can anyone recommend any in the Phoenix area? I live around 43th Ave and Thunderbird, but it doesn't need to be right close by. The last appointment I had at my child's current pediatrician's office, it was over an hour before we actually even saw the doctor. It is ridiculous to make little ones wait so long. And then, the doctor is rushing because the child is fussy. The quality of the appointment just goes down the drain. I would like to find one where time and quality are of importance to the doctor.
Thanks

I know I already responded

I know I already responded to this on the other website you posted on, but I'm copying/pasting my response here as well!

I used to take my son to Dr. Kristen Kaus at Northwest Clinic for Children around 32nd Ave & Greenway (602-866-1874). She is fantastic! We moved to Surprise a few years ago and I thought about going to her when I had my twins, but it's just too far of a drive for us. Although, I know people that moved out here and still make the drive to take their kids to see her and my brother takes his kids to her as well. I think there are about 5 doctors in the practice, but I never saw any of the other doctors. I hope that helps!

What about Cactus Children's

What about Cactus Children's Clinic 55th Ave/Thunderbird Rd. http://www.cactuschildrens.com/web158/
unless that is the office you're trying to switch from.

I work at Paradise

I work at Paradise Pediatrics on Tatum and Shea. They've been around forever and are open 7 days a week! You may want to talk to your pediatrician and find out what is going on. Sometimes the pediatrician doesn't know what's coming through the door. Oftentimes, people make appointments for seemingly simple things that turn out to be very complex. A "cough" scheduled for a 15 minute appointment can turn out to be a collapsed lung. A "sore throat" can be a 17 year old who thinks she's pregnant and wants to kill herself. A baby "not feeding well" can be new onset heart failure. I know, because we've seen similar cases just in the last MONTH! You want your pediatrician to be able to spend extra time with you when needed, and sometimes the doctor can't predict that.

I also like Cactus Cildrens

I also like Cactus Cildrens Clinic. I never had to wait an hour and if they need to be seen, they can get them in very fast. They are also open Saturday mornings.

Dr Rumbha was my pediatrician as a child and I plan to take my son when he's born to her. She's located on 67th Ave and Thunderbird. She's a nice caring woman.
