I posted something last week about my youngest needing stitches after hours. Just wanted to pass along that my neighbor, a nurse, suggested I take him to a pediatric urgent care. I went to a place called Good Night Pediatrics Urgent Care in Phx (there are three Valley locations). The company says that all docs. are pediatricians. I forgot to ask the doc. if he was a ped - too distracted by the blood oozing from my little one's head! - but he was very good with with my son and knew just what to do to calm him down, get him stitched and out the door with a lollipop.
I've been to regular urgent care places with my son for simple things like an ear infection but I was glad to find this place.

Thanks for the information.
Thanks for the information. I didn't know that urgent care places for children existed here in the valley. What a great idea!

I totally agree. We live
I totally agree. We live here in Surprise and currently there are only regular urgent cares and hospitals. When my daughter had to go to the hospital for pnemonia, we went to Banner Thurnderbird children's hospital. It was an awesome experience! So yes if you can find an urgent care for small things and a hospital for major just for children, do it! It will make a better experience for you and your children!

I've heard of Good Night
I've heard of Good Night Pediatrics, but have never tried them myself I'm glad to hear that things worked out well for you there, that's good to know. I have brought my daughter to a couple fo urgent care facilities and they have been great with her even being that she's young. Of course when she needed stitiches I brought her to Mendy's Place at John C Lincoln Deer Valley hospital and they were great too!! One of the urgent care facilities that I would recommend is NextCare, they allow you to register on line so that when you get there your wait time isn't so long.
I LOVE good night
I LOVE good night pediatrics!! I have taken my son to the one on Higley and Baseline (I think0 and also the one in west phoenix area. Both are wonderful, we've never had to wait. they are open every night 5pm to 5am and there are kids books and movies to watch in the waiting room. Great service everytime and my son was always calm there despite being xray-ed even. They take most insureances i think, but I overheard that if you dont have insurance, you can expect to pay $200 cash before your child is seen.
Great place to go instead of the ER as long as its not life or death.
There is also a Phoenix
There is also a Phoenix Children's Hospital Urgent care in Mesa on Southern and Higley. We've been there before, and it was very nice too.

Thanks for the important
Thanks for the important info. I have heard of both Goodnight Ped's and Phoenix children but have not been to either of them. Goodnight pediatrics is only opened from 5pm to 5am which I thought was cool because a lot of urgent cares close at 9 or 10.
