My employer recenty changed our medical and dental provider effective 10-1-07. My problem is 3 of my daughters had upcoming appointments to get some work done and our family dentist prefers a pediatric dentist do the work on them. The place i was originally going to take them is not in network. So if any moms out there has a pediatric dentist they would recommend please let me know and i will call and see if they are in network for us. Thanks so much. I much rather go off referrals then just calling out of a book.

I highly recommend Dr. Cameron Skaugrud who is with "My Kidz Dentist". They have 2 office locations, one at 1728 N. Glendale Avenue, Phoenix AZ 85021 602-995-7336 and they also have an office at 19636 N. 27th Avenue, Phoenix and that telephone number is 623-879-8866. He is the absolute best with kids. My daughter has seen him twice and he's so awesome!! I would check to see if he's on your plan & if so make an appointment. There are some other dentist in the group, which we've not seen so I can only recommend him.

I'll kudos Longfellow's if you live in that area. I personally know Dr. Longfellows daughter, I used to work with her. Great practice, great family!!
We had a horrible experience
We had a horrible experience at the Longfellow practice - I would never recommend them. I posted about it in another thread.
I now take my son to see Dr. William Blocher in Tempe - he is fantastic, and they will work with children as long as they are well behaved.

Was your problem with one of the dentist there, or was it with thy hygenist or the office staff? Can you be more specific??
My daughter at three had a horrible experience with the hygenist at Dr. Creech and Dr. Balls office.. and then the office staff was very unfriendly and wouldn't let me go in while they cleaned her teeth.. or I should say, tried to keep me out while they did her teeth and then with my older kid, I only did flouride treatments once a year, cause that's what our plan paid for and they were talking to each other while they cleaned her teeth, and where saying what a horrible mom I was that i don't let her have flouride treatments everytime and then they poked my kid and told her I wasnt to concerned about her and her teeth. (this was my older child who was 10 at thetime).. Well she came out crying from her appt. and told me what they said, I went to the office manager on it. And her response was "Well she should be getting it done everytime whether your ins. pays or not" ....
We were referred to Dr. Padilla, who has done a wonderful job and the staff the the hygenist are very good and nice...
So, could you please be more specific on your experience

It was not a problem with the office staff, but one of the dentists. It was a dentist who fills in for Dr Longfellow from time to time, and it was not Dr Padilla.

my family dentist will not see the little ones because he says he does not feel comfortable with their little mouths to do the work. he does their exams and cleanings though.

Township Dental in Gilbert
Township Dental in Gilbert (Baseline and Stapley) - Dr. Mouzoon. I've been going there for myself for years and now take my son. He's great, very gentle, very cautious (doesn't rush into things). His wife is one of the hygentists and is fantastic with kids - I think her name is spelled Nazzi.

Just this week I had to take
Just this week I had to take my daughter to a new Pediatric Dentist. She needed extensive work done and I was more than pleased with this office. It's on 75th Ave & Deer Valley Kidz R Kool. Seriously this place totally rocks. The office staff and the Dentist were so awesome. Check it out !!!
