Anybody been to Lifetime Fitness Gym (Goodyear)?

I logged into thier website http://www.lifetimefitness.com/ and saw they offer a great variety of classes. I am confused on how they work though as I think you can pay for an individual class without being a member or they have different membership levels. I'm curious if you have been or belong what your thoughts are. Especially for the childrens classes, etc.

My step-daughter's mom worked there and I went inside to check it out one day. The place is great and the girls LOVED the child care facility / classes / pool area. I know they offer a couple of different membership plans but I think the most basic one is about $70 a month (yikes). I did not know (or have heard) you could pay just for certain classes though.

I love lifetime! My husband

I love lifetime! My husband worksout every morning and I go at least 4 times a week.. I started with water aerobics right after my son was born b/c I was sill heavy and I didn't want to go upstairs to the gym part.. Now that I have lost more weight I totally feel comfortable up there. I go to classes too... My 2 yr old won't stay in the kids club yet but they say to keep going and she will get used to it. My 8 month old goes and he does fine and my 6th grader LOVES it!!! He meets his friends up there to play basketball... On the wkends we all go as a family and it's fun... We love it... If you get a memebership or if you take a tour, ask for Jackie, she is soooo sweet and she is a mom of 5!!! I like that she's a mom and not just another kid selling a gym membership.. Those guys that sell memberships get on my nerves. They think b/c they sell gym memberships, they know everything about fitness.. Anyway, She was out membership person and she's great...Plus she is a mom,,, Love that!!

Sounds like you have membership for your whole fam. Do you mind me asking how much it costs you per month?

a friend of mine who has a membership there recently told me that the childrens classes are such that you do not have to be a member there. Non-members pay slightly more. However, I'm uncertain how that works for adults. I do plan to visit their website and look to see if my son might be interested in any classes there this summer!

I'm a former member of Lifetime in Gilbert. I think it's a beautiful gym, but my 3 and 1 year olds were a little overwhelmed in the child care area - and my kids are very independent - they usually don't even miss me! I would get paged a lot so I decided to take a break for now. The cost was $50 per month for me, but they recently added $5 per child to the membership fee, so it was going to be $60 per month. We did try a class and the kids enjoyed it. You can take classes even if you're not a member, but it is slightly more. However, if you're not going to use the rest of the gym, it would be more economical to just try a class or two.

I belong to Lifetime in

I belong to Lifetime in Scottsdale. I absolutly LOVE it! I have a 5 yr old and a 10 yr old who go in the play area. They get me motivated to go because they want to go. Every day it's like "can we go to the gym?"

The group fitness classes are great and the kids classes are awesome. Even in the play area they have face painting some days, dodgeball tourneys, etc all day long.

We did swim lessons a few times and the ratio is like 3 to 1.

Since we joined last year our cost for the family is $123 a month, it has gone up for new people since January but I'm not sure how much.

They have parents night out and summer camps, rock wall, it's like a resort/gym/spa/home to us.

I highly recommend it and so do my kids!
