I have been trying to lose weight for months now. So far I lost about 13-15 lbs (depending on how much and when I weigh). Now that I'm pregnant I won't lie, I'm a little concerned about still exercising . I don't want to be lifting weights or running 5 miles a day but I would really like to watch the weight gain and stay fit (plus I know it makes labor easier). Does anyone have any good articles, websites or their own plan that they felt helped in this department? I know I'm not going to lose much more weight now, but just because I'm pregnant isn't an excuse to let all my hard work go bad. I

I do know that when you are
I do know that when you are pregnant, you can do light exercise. I am starting a diet too, my husband and I will be trying to conceive another child probably in a couple months, and when that time comes, I will still exercise lightly and watch what I eat. Congrats on being pregnant. How many children do you have? I have a boy and a girl.
I have 2 - a boy and a girl
I have 2 - a boy and a girl also. They are 12 and almost 8. Like I said, I was really expecting to have another one lol.

LOL...isn't that how it
LOL...isn't that how it works, when you aren't expecting is when it happens. Well at least your new baby will have the love and support that your other two have. That is what matters. So many kids out there don't have that.
I went to a maternity
I went to a maternity exercise class at the hospital(Scottsdale health care Shea) 2 times a week and walked 30 min. most mornings with my 3rd and 4th babies and only gained 15 lbs instead of 30! I was bigger to begin with so I did not need to gain the standard 25lbs. I had a great time at the class and made friends that I still have today.

I was super scared to gain a lot of weight when i got preggos but i just watched what i ate, went for daily walks or a mild run and did yoga twice a week. just stay active.
The best person to answer
The best person to answer this question is your OB/GYN. Unfortunatley, some won't see you until you are 3 months along.
Standard is supposed to be that if you were already active in certain activities prior to the pregnancy, they should be good during most of your pregnancy. I know that when I was preg with my youngest, I switched from running to walking, and from weights to aqua work in the pool. (Really, I only stuck to the walking ;-) something about public pools when you are pregnant...!)
With my history of miscarriages, I actually put a hold on things until I saw my OB/GYN.
It's a very personal decision - I understand!
In the meantime, you probably have adapted your eating habits to be very healthy and that will go a long way to keeping your weigh gain during pregnancy a healthy one.

With both my pregnancies, I
With both my pregnancies, I pretty much kept to the same routine I had before I was pregnant. I ran a little less but other than that, the doctor said I could stick with the same routine.

I continued to exercise at the gym until about my 7th month, then cut back and have been using a prenatal pilates and yoga video since then. I didn't gain much weight overall (around 16lbs). I bought a book "fit Pregnancy" and just talked it over with my OB about what I should/can do.
You can continue to lift weights, my Dr suggested to just lower the weight I was lifting as the pregnancy progressed, but increase the reps and at the end be sure to do free weights sitting.
