i currently have a treadmill in my bedroom. i did use it about 3 months ago and started at 5:30 am for 1/2 hr every morning. i stop using it because i had too much work that my mind was just tired that little by little i lost interest because i prefer to rest of for another hard day at work.
i prefer not to use it after work because my kids are around and they want to use it. if i lock the door and have my husband take care of them i just hear them knocking at the door. he really gets them interested in something else but then they find their way to the door. so after work doesn't work for me and later at night is a no. need to sleep.
i would like to start using it again at 5:30 AM but how do you get motivated and get out of bed???

Well, try reminding yourself
Well, try reminding yourself what a great example you are setting for your children showing them that exersize is important for a healthy heart, body and mind. It will also help you live longer so you can be an active part of your grandchildrens lives (wow, what a thought at this point).
Personally, I would hang a bikini on it, that would motivate me.

If you reframe it as "me
If you reframe it as "me time," it could help. And, by exercising, you will actually sleep better.
Get your husband involved, if possible. Mine set multiple snooze settings and I mentally prepared for getting up after the 2nd snooze.
I read a story about a guy who lost 100+ pounds from going running every morning. He had a hard time getting motivated in the AM, too, so he SLEPT IN HIS WORKOUT CLOTHES. He said that it really made an impact.
If I start to slip again, I am trying that one!!
I've also planned incremental rewards for myself based on continued commitment. (i.e., if I stick with it for 2 weeks, then I'll buy 3 new song downloads) or something that you might normally buy for yourself but then you set it up as a reward.
On a personal note, I don't have any equipment in my house because I find better success if I have to leave the house to workout. And, doing so before everybody else gets up has huge benefits.
Good luck!
Good luck!!

I think that's a pretty
I think that's a pretty common struggle for most exhausted, busy moms! I am motivated when I see old pictures of myself when I was in great shape. Try taping a picture of yourself (one wheren you like the way you look) on your bathroom mirror. Maybe that will motivate you to work hard again!

Me, I would sleep in!!! And
Me, I would sleep in!!!
And keep going event though the kids are knocking at the door. Maybe hubby could take them outside so they cant come to the door? If it's at night maybe you could buy a cheap telescope and daddy and the kids could learn about the stars together. Dont mention what you are doing, just say that this is special daddy and children time. No mommies allowed.
I think you should try talking to your husband and explain that you really want and need to do this and you need his support in keeping the children away from the door while you do it.
Or maybe you could flip it and ask the kids to keep daddy away? I dont know how old your kids are but you could tell them to take daddy and teach him to play cards, dance, make play dough animals, make refrigerator cookies, whatever. Tell them that no matter what, daddy is not allowed near the door.
Sleep is too precious to me not to find a way to do it without giving up any sleep time!
